Developer: Ready at Dawn Studios
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Year Released: 2008
Nobody thought it was possible: a PS2-level God of War experience on a handheld? Not only were both of SCE Santa Monica Studios' Greek action epics huge in scale, they were some of the most hardware-stressing games on the PlayStation 2. Amazingly, though, Ready at Dawn Studios did it; they made a game that was every bit as visually amazing, offered a lengthy prequel story and did so with no compromises.
This was God of War, running in your hands, without any cut corners or a sense that it was "just" a portable game. Any self-respecting God of War would do well to pick this up -- you should have just enough time to play through it before continuing the adventure with the God of War Collection on your PS3, which will tide you over until God of War III hits.

God of War: Chains of Olympus (No. 2 PSP Best Game)
Patapon 2 (No.1 PSP games)
Developer: Pyramid
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Year Released: 2009
Few games were as uniting for the IGN PlayStation Team as Patapon 2's infectious brand of rhythm-based strategic action. We all played the game even though only one of us actually reviewed it -- an exceedingly rare occurrence. We'd bust the game out during events and while on planes together all in the hopes of strengthening our army of one-eyed critters and gaining new, more powerful equipment and special attacks. Sony couldn't have asked for a better game to spearhead their movement toward putting their new releases online (the game is only $20 to boot), and it's not an exaggeration to call this one of our favorite portable games of all time. It's also, fittingly, our pick for the best PSP game released for the system thus far. If you don't own this game, you're missing out plain and simple.

PS3 price are cuted!
PS3 price cut to $250, 320 GB model goes to $300 [update]
Sony closed out its Gamescom 2011 keynote with the startling announcement that the PlayStation 3 (presumably the standard, 160GB model) has had its price cut across the globe: It's now $249.99 in the U.S., €249.99 in Europe and ¥24,980 in Japan. According to Sony's Andrew House, this new price point is available immediately. As in, right now. This hot second.
The $50 trimming of the system's MSRP comes nearly two years to the day after its original reduction to $299.99. We suppose that goes to show you: If you're planning on purchasing a Sony console, you should probably do so after the Ides of August.
[Update: Sony is rolling our another deal today, according to its official blog: A new Infamous 2 PS3 bundle is now available that includes the game and the 320 GB PS3 for $300.]
That was a good news for us. Get it now!

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (PES 2012)
KONAMI KICKS OFF FALL WITH PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2012 NOW AVAILABLE
Posted on: Sep 27, 2011
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced the highly anticipated football favorite Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is now available in North America for PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®. The newest installment of the long-running series features groundbreaking innovations that give the user more control than any other football title. Adding to the excitement, Neymar da Silva Santos JĂșnior, Santos' main striker player, is joining Cristiano Ronaldo as featured box cover athlete for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.
"With every edition of Pro Evolution Soccer, we set out to provide an unparalleled gameplay experience," said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 keeps to our long-standing tradition of giving users the intensity of real-life soccer with cutting-edge graphics and controls."
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 goes further in giving the user total control, offering AI innovations and gameplay additions that cover every aspect of real football. Central to Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is the all-new Active AI system which ensures that teammates work to close down space, defend zonally and hold their line to minimize attacking options. As such, on defense their teammates will look to hold the defensive line and mark oncoming offensive support. Conversely on offense, when attacking, the player will see that their teammates will make dummy runs, draw defenders, and work to give the player more options in attack.
The emphasis on the team as a unit is demonstrated with Pro Evolution Soccer 2012's ground-breaking Teammate Control system - a truly unique addition which allows the user to control two players at once, prompting runs or drawing defenders with one, while the other holds the ball up. Teammate Control works in two ways; with users pressing the right analogue stick in the direction of the player they wish to control. Support play is offered in assisted mode wherein users prompt a second player to make a timed run to cut inside or receive a ball, while total control is afforded by the fully Manual mode which gives the user complete freedom of movement of the second player.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is full of new gameplay additions. Animation has been enhanced, while the overall presentation has also been refined. Managers can now be seen wandering the sideline, while the general atmosphere of a big-match day has been faithfully recreated. Gameplay, shooting movement and reactions are also improved and control is no longer totally lost when losing possession of the ball. The game features a return to the classic 'behind player' penalty system, and one-on-one situations offer greater control as defenders press and jostle to win the ball, and attackers use upper body feints and movements to bypass and wrong-foot their man.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 also continues KONAMI's exclusive partnership with UEFA that sees the Pro Evolution Soccer series as the exclusive home of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup licenses. In addition, KONAMI also has the Copa Santander Libertadores license. Attention to detail within these key tournaments has been extended to the match officials, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will see referees and their assistants dressed in the official kits of the competitions.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and is now available for purchase at retailers nationwide for an SRP of $59.99 for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system. Release dates for Wii, PlayStation®2 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will be released in the future. PSP 3000
PSP 3000 Sony Playstation Portable
The PSP 3000 is the latest release from Sony’s Playstation division and is an improvement upon the PSP 2000. The major upgrades that the PSP 3000 contains is that it has an improved upon LCD screen which has increased color ranges, the contrast ratio is 5 times greater giving sharper/clearer/crisper video, the pixel response time has been cut in half which will lessen ghosting and blurring effects, a built in microphone, a new sub pixel structure, a new disc tray design, new logos and redesigned buttons, and anti-reflective technology which will help if you play your PSP 3000 outdoors (will reduce/remove glaring on the screen). It can also output all games by component or composite using the video out cable.
The PSP 3000 originally came in three different color options, white, black, and silver but has since added additional ‘carnival colors’ candy colored options.
